Mirage Master Edition for Epson includes support for all FineArt printers up to 64" (162.6 cm) print width, covering Epson Stylus Pro 3xxx, 4xxx, 7xxx, 9xxx and 11xxx series, as well as Stylus Photo models R2880, R3000, P700, P900, XP-15000 and P400 (Windows 10 and 11 only). It is also compatible with Epson SureColour T-series printers including T3000, T3100, T3200, T3400, T5000, T5100, T5200, T5400, T7000, T7200, T5400M, SC-T3100x and SC-T3700 variants, alongside SureColour P-series models such as P600, P800, P50xx, P60xx, P70xx, P80xx, P90xx, P100xx, P200xx, P7500, P9500, SC-P8500D, SC-T7700D, SC-P8500DL, SC-P6500D and SC-P6500E, plus SC-F500 (Windows 10 and 11 only) and SL-D500. It is available as a floating licence, allowing Mirage 5 to be used across multiple computers, but only on one computer at a time, and requires an active account on the Mirage licence server and an internet connection; additional workstation licences are needed if you wish to run the software on more than one computer simultaneously, providing flexibility for shared environments while offering a great way to get a first taste of what Mirage 5 has to offer.

Print Templates

Mirage 5 offers highly versatile print templates designed for seamless image placement. Templates consist of numbered slots where images can be inserted, rotated, and layered, allowing full creative control. Multiple slots can share the same number, automatically duplicating the same image across all corresponding slots-ideal for passport or application photos. Users can also apply pixel or vector "masks" to control which parts of images are printed. Any custom layout can be converted into a reusable template, saving time and ensuring consistent, professional results.

Template Editor

The new Template Editor allows you to design personalised and efficient print templates. You can choose from monochrome backgrounds or upload your own images, adjust slot size and layout, scale images proportionally, and assign individual masks to each slot. The editor's intuitive interface streamlines template creation while enabling creative flexibility, making it easy to produce complex layouts quickly and accurately.

Free Layout of Files on the Spread

With Mirage 5, images can be freely positioned, rotated, and layered on the spread, offering unlimited design possibilities. Overlapping images allow for advanced layouts, such as collages or multipage photo albums. Any layout created in this manner can instantly be converted into a reusable template, providing efficiency for repeated projects and complex print jobs.

Clear Program Interface

Mirage 5 features a simplified and organised interface, replacing the old "Drop Files Here" window with a drag-and-drop Print Preview area. The menu bar groups functions logically, and the integrated Mirage Job Archive eliminates the need for separate job management software. Users can undo changes step by step or clear all files from the workspace without closing the program, supporting a streamlined and flexible workflow.

Improved Print Preview

The print preview in Mirage 5 is precise and user-friendly, showing all pages side by side in a scrollable area. Navigation buttons allow moving forward, backward, or jumping to the first or last page. This pixel-accurate preview ensures that layouts are aligned and ready for printing, providing confidence in the final result for multi-page documents and complex spreads.

File & Templates Browser

The File & Templates Browser offers a clear overview of uploaded images and templates. Users can search, filter, preview, and drag images or templates into the printable area with ease. Filters can identify files based on placement status, orientation, or other criteria, making large projects easier to manage while speeding up workflow and reducing errors.

Multiple Print Jobs at the Same Time

Mirage 5 allows the creation and management of multiple print jobs simultaneously. Users can prepare, pause, delete, or reprint jobs independently, enabling urgent tasks to be printed without interrupting ongoing projects. This flexibility is ideal for professional print environments where multiple workflows need to be handled efficiently.

"Undo/Redo" Function

All adjustments, whether in layout positioning or settings, can be undone or reapplied using the Undo/Redo function via menu options or standard keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+Z / Shift+Ctrl+Z). After a job is printed, the "Print" button updates to "Print Again" if no further changes are made, simplifying reprints and ensuring efficient error correction during workflow.

Improved Handling and Placement of Embedded Logos

Users can integrate logos directly into print layouts, scaling, rotating, and moving them freely using intuitive handles in the print and page preview. This functionality allows precise logo placement without the need for additional graphic software, ensuring professional branding and high-quality output.

New Tools for Image Editing

Mirage 5 includes advanced image editing tools directly within the application. Gaussian Blur and Drop Shadow can be applied non-destructively, with full control over opacity, direction, softness, offset, and colour. Edits are instantly reflected in the pixel-accurate preview, allowing fine-tuning without leaving the software and ensuring professional results with minimal effort.

New Print Mode "Only Black Ink"

For supported printers and media, Mirage 5 offers a dedicated "Only Black Ink" mode that prints exclusively with black ink, excluding grey tones. This feature is ideal for monochrome documents and artistic prints, delivering sharp, high-contrast results without compromising print quality.

Settings Option "Simulation"

The Simulation setting enables users to preview how prints will appear on different printers by applying CMYK profiles. Accessible under the "Extra" tab, this proofing function helps ensure colour accuracy and consistency across devices, reducing errors and providing professional-grade results before printing.

Additional Print Marks

Mirage 5 allows advanced control of print marks, including inset crop marks to prevent white overlaps. The "Page Print Marks" option places marks around an entire spread, with customisable gaps and spacing, ensuring precise trimming and alignment for complex layouts, multi-image spreads, or professional print standards.
