Engineered with the technology that users have come to expect from the brand, the Trinovid features P40 phase-corrected prisms treated with their HighLux system to limit internal light diffraction and eliminate interference for improved clarity, sharpness, and contrast. The objective lenses are fully multi-coated with Leica's HDC coatings for maximum light transmission through the optical path to ensure accurate colour fidelity and high-contrast views, especially in challenging lighting conditions. These technologies work together and complement each other to produce an immersive observational experience with bright images that are clear and sharp across a field of view that approaches wide angle. To capture extremely close-up views of small birds, bugs, butterflies, and insects, the Trinovid is equipped with an exceptionally short 3.3' minimum focus distance.

Built to withstand the rigors of the outdoors, the chassis is made of a lightweight and durable aluminium-alloy wrapped in a protective slip-resistant rubber armor. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof, and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes or conditions. A wide interpupillary adjustment range, generous ±4 dioptric correction, long 17mm eye relief, and four-position click-stop eyecups ensures easy and comfortable use by most people.
