RF Lenses for Greater Possibilities

RF lenses enable richly expressive, high-quality imaging. The high-speed communication capabilities of the RF mount make operation intuitive and stress-free. Coordinated control of camera and lens IS via RF mount communication achieves powerful image stabilisation.

In-Camera Image Upscaling

Upscale JPEG or HEIF images post-shooting to approximately 179MP. Combine this with in-camera cropping to isolate subjects, providing more resolution on hand when you need it.

Eye Control AF

Sensors in the electronic viewfinder track the movement of the photographer's eye, enabling the user to quickly change tracking to a different subject.

LP-E6P Battery

The new high-powered battery extends shooting times and powers many new features that have high processing power requirements.

Fast Continuous Shooting

Shoot continuous RAW bursts at up to 30 frames per second with AF/AE tracking between each frame.

Canon Log 2 & Canon Log 3

Canon Log 2 and Canon Log 3 are included to ensure a wide dynamic range. Canon Log 2 enables shooting with a dynamic range of up to 16 stops.

4K 120p Recording

Supports up to Full HD 240P and 4K 120P* recording. This allows users to capture scenes with fast movement, such as sports and concerts.

Optional Cooling Fan

The cooling fan CF-R20EP (sold separately) can be attached to the EOS R5 Mark II to enable longer shooting times when filming in high-quality 8K and 4K movie modes.

Neural Network Noise Reduction

Applies deep learning to generate images with reduced noise when processing RAW images in-camera, without the need for an external computer or software. This can be combined with in-camera image upscaling to produce an image with less noise and higher resolution.

In-Body Image Stabilisation

Co-ordinated Control Image Stabilisation is now improved to 8.5 stops at the centre and 7.5 stops at the periphery.
