Calibrite ColorChecker Video XL with Case

Helping you achieve accurate and consistent colours throughout your productions, the Calibrite ColorChecker Video XL is an extra large format colour and exposure target well suited for working at greater distances and wider shooting angles. This Large Colour target is well suited for use on larger locations or venues, where you want to shoot the chart and show the environment around it, so your post production colourist can see the location they are colour correcting. While larger than other targets, the XL target contains the same chromatic colours, skin tones, and grey chips as the other versions, making it suitable for use with waveforms, vectorscopes, zebras, and other tools for affecting colour and exposure. This item includes a case for protecting your target when not in use.

Chromatic Colours

Two rows of six chromatic colours are featured, with both saturated and desaturated values, which are designed to align with the primary colour axis on a vectorscope. These colours provide two levels of colour information for quickly removing colour casts and producing an ideal and even colour balance.

Skin Tones

Positioned on the edge of the target is a range of colour chips designed to represent various skin tones from light to dark with subtle undertones.

Grey Levels

In the center of the target are four larger grey steps to aid in grey balancing, and include white, 40IRE grey, deep grey, and high gloss black. These levels can be used to determine proper exposure when using a waveform, zebras, or false colours and can be especially useful in multiple camera setups to ensure consistent exposure and mid tone rendition.

Linear Greyscale

Six chips are used to display a linear grey scale to help in achieving an accurate grey balance, especially in regard to the highlight and shadow regions.

Illumination Check Chips

Black and white chips are located at two of the corners to aid in determining even illumination across the target.

Software Support

The ColorChecker Video XL target is supported in both DaVinci Resolve and 3DLUT Creator for greater efficiency when colour grading.
